Heartbreakers is a 2001 caper-romantic comedy film directed by David Mirkin. Heartbreakers is about an elaborate con set up by a mother-daughter team to swindle wealthy men out of their money, and what happens during their “last” con together. Starring Sigourney Weaver, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ray Liotta, Jason Lee, and Gene Hackman.
Heartbreakers was a well made comedy and both Ann and I thoroughly enjoyed. We both recommend taking the time to watch Heartbreakers. Would I add this movie to my personal DVD collection, probably not, but certainly don’t let that stop you from watching it.
The last tune of the Heartbreakers episode is a favorite and brings back pleasant memories every time. This tune is also found in the Australian movie, The Castle. Every time I hear the tune, I recall visual images of Bonnie Doon in winter, thanks to The Castle. Press play above and listen to the podcast to see if you recognise the familiar tune.
